The man with the corner flag.
Following on from what aka Ernie said I actually think we have a lot to thank this fella for.

A lifelong fan and season ticket holder, not that I know him, his frustrations boiled over and his passion was too much.

I think that he should write to the board and apologise for his actions and that we should in some way help him get his ban over turned.

Throwing coins is more difficult to defend but he did something that was semi part of a bit of history, 're the bind scheme.

Now is the time to come together as this is a brilliant appointment as manager and hopefully shows a shift in change.

If so I'm happy to put my difference of opinion aside with the board if they let a true football man take care of the football.

Bring back the man with the flag...

He is a close friend of mine and I can tell you for sure that there is no way he would ever apologise to the Board! He would rather die than do that.He is in court on June 4th.

By the sounds of it he has had enough and thrown in the towel... real punishment would be allowing him back in that shit hole...

The fans should thank him for putting a rocket up the board’s arse.

Chav be sure to let us know how he gets on at court and hopefully like minded fans can help sort any fines

Of course Bubbles had to be banned, so the club were seen to be doing something, but now I think Sullivan can apologise to him for driving him to such extreme measures and remove the ban.

Are the club taking him to court or local council?

Re: The man with the corner flag.
Chav, please don't think he did anything wrong. If anything he should counter sue West Ham for trades descriptions or the sorts as they sold him a season ticket on a premise which was a lie.

Make sure he apologises to the court for his actions and admit it was the wrong thing to do. make sure, he or his brief say how it wasnt a violent stand or intention and talk about history and the bond etc

wish him luck. what court is he up in

Can't un-ban him until the club have sorted out the extra security for the corner flags.

Re: The man with the corner flag.
I know Bubbles through associates and friends and I can assure his comments were genuine. He never meant any harm or to break the law. This is a bloke that's been going West Ham longer than a lot of fans have been alive. He bleeds Claret & Blue.

Him standing on the pitch holding that flag could well be the defining image of this generation and the clubs future. It's an iconic image.

Indeed it's as iconic as kim kardashian balancing a bottle on her arse

PI,
He was selling badges with him holding the flag in the pub before the Arsenal game. He said that he thinks the court will be asked to give him a banning order from all grounds, didn't say how long for though.
Chav, do you know how much he raised from those badges?

Ha Ha

To be fair, mine was light hearted in response to this rather pretentious and effete passage
"Him standing on the pitch holding that flag could well be the defining image of this generation and the clubs future."

He basically ran onto the pitch, had no idea what he was doing the moment he got on the pitch, then wandered up to the nearest flag grabbed it and wandered aimlessly across the pitch, it doesn't really have any effect on anything much.

It's no more iconic or a defining image of this generation than Opal Fruits changing their name to Starburst.

Nothing wrong with what he did nor anything particularly revolutionary.

Except he knew exactly what he was doing grabbing the corner flag.

Are you seriously unaware of the history and meaning of that gesture?
